Former fashion model Elizabeth Sartorio’s rich and rewarding career after the photo shoots and runways illustrates the success that can be achieved by those in traditionally short-lived careers such as modeling and athletics. After departing the Wilhelmina Agency, she worked in product development for Hemisphere/The Gap before joining cosmetics giant Elizabeth Arden. Currently a highly sought-after interior designer in Melville, New York, Elizabeth Sartorio draws on her experience in Elizabeth Arden’s executive offices to oversee all aspects of the residential and commercial projects she undertakes.
For years, Elizabeth Sartorio’s was one of the fashion industry’s most-recognized faces, appearing multiple times on the covers of such fashion mainstays as Elle, Madame Figaro, Cosmopolitan, and Femme. In 1988, she joined Elizabeth Arden as a Production Coordinator, managing a variety of tasks related to advertising and marketing campaigns, including developing locations, and collecting and researching data for budgets and reports. She was instrumental in developing and launching the campaigns for several Elizabeth Arden products.
After her promotion to Executive Assistant to the International Executive Vice President and Executive Vice President of Marketing Worldwide, Elizabeth Sartorio found herself deeply involved in projects and campaigns that were highly confidential, in addition to planning and overseeing events for executive functions. She also prepared much of her principals’ correspondence related to ongoing developments worldwide. Elizabeth Sartorio was subsequently promoted to the position of Executive Assistant to the Chairman, where she managed the administrative staff for all Elizabeth Arden divisions, originated correspondence, coordinated all aspects of executive travel, and managed all other elements of the high-pressure office of the company’s Chairman.
When she began her interior design business, Elizabeth Sartorio had at her command a broad range of administrative skills as well as the critical ability to build and maintain relationships with executives and managers at all levels, combining these skills with her own artistic and design talents emphasizing space planning, color use and combinations, and the efficient use of furnishings and accessories.
